Well I'm glad that's over, mothering Sunday. Even though Valentine day gets you in the mood for being busy on Mothers day, it never quite prepares you for the amount of work there is to do. long shifts and no time to do any house work, cooking or even eating and never got to go swimming. I tried to take time for some photo's but only got a few..
This is a photo of the out side the shop with the sun shining on it. the plants get hot and dry up quickly in warmer weather I'm forever watering. The shop window was amazing, we had lots of great comments. We salvaged some old fencing cut it shorter made a gate left it open, put up a washing line with old fashion pegs holding baby t-shirts with letters on spelling thanks mum. You may just be able to see the fence in the photo. We put garden table and chairs in the window and dressed the whole window in lovely gifts. We had some huge ceramic cups and saucers and filled them with lovely flowers.
The smell must be amazing! Great photos again. I think my favourite is the shop from the front, but I like the arrangements too. And the teddy in the bag!
ReplyDeleteBOB AND VICKIE
ReplyDeleteThank for Vickie's recent blog, I have no idea how I arrived at it only that I was doing a search for my Floral Art Clubs next project.
How lucky we are. Here am I in Queensland, Australia and having the pleasure of reading and looking at the your blog. It contains all my favourite things. The English countryside, the spring flowers, the floral arrangements, everything.
You see my husband and I emmigrated to Australia some 51 years ago and although we have been very happy here I have never got over my love of the English countryside and to see all your lovely photographs was a great pleasuure.
We also visited Goatland and the surrounding hills together with Whitby when we came for a holiday in 2000. This together with all the lovely flowers pictures were a great joy to me, thank you.
P.S. As I have been surfing the net, in the background has been Foyle's War on the television, repeats of course but still lovely scenes of the countryside, potraying a time when I was growing up. With best wishes Trottie
